Your data stays on your device

unPaper is device software. It can pull things from the internet — the app itself, its templates and fonts — but the data you make with it never travels. Your files, prompts and slides are opened, converted and saved right here, in this browser. They are never sent to a server. Ours or anyone's.

Check it yourself — the offline test

The most honest proof of local processing is to cut the connection and watch the work carry on. It takes about thirty seconds.

   Open the PowerPoint converter and load one of your decks — or paste its HTML.

   Turn off Wi-Fi, or pull the network cable. Your whole machine is now offline.

   Watch the mark in the top-right corner. It fills in and reads:offline — still workingOffline is a proud state here, not an error — the app keeps every tool ready to run.

   Convert the deck. The .pptx is built and downloaded with no connection at all — which means at no point could your file have been sent anywhere. It was made on your device, start to finish.

Or watch the network directly

If you prefer hard evidence over a demonstration, open your browser's developer tools and select the Network tab while you work. You may see the app's own files load, and a small cookie-free analytics ping. You will not see a single request carrying your prompt, your deck, your document, or your converted file — because none is ever made.
