What unPaper is

unPaper adds professional slide-making skills to the AI you already use. It combines a reliable format, proven craft harvested across models, explicit instructions and deterministic local tools — without adding another AI service.

The model creates in LLM-native HTML. unPaper compiles that work into native, editable PowerPoint so employees can continue enhancing it themselves. In the other direction, unPaper turns existing PowerPoint decks into an LLM-native source that an AI can understand, redesign and regenerate.

The problem it solves

Ask any assistant for a PowerPoint and you get a mediocre file, because generating .pptx means writing a zip full of XML blind — the model cannot see what it made. Ask the same assistant for HTML and it is on home ground: it has read millions of web pages, and it can reason about layout.

So unPaper hands your AI a print-ready HTML slide template, with the rules attached. The model fills it in. You bring the file back.

What you get

• A self-contained HTML file — one file, no assets, no network. It opens in any browser, presents, and prints.
• A pixel-exact 16:9 PDF, straight from the browser's own print dialog.
• An editable PowerPoint, where shapes are shapes and text is text — not a screenshot of a slide.
• An LLM-native source from an existing PowerPoint — content, geometry, notes, tables, chart data and images prepared for the next AI-assisted version.

What it is not

unPaper contains no AI. It never sees your prompt, your chat, or your content. It builds a prompt for you to paste somewhere else, and it processes the file you paste back — in your browser, on your machine.

That is also why there is no account and no upload. There is nowhere for your content to go.

The HTML file is the finished product. It works without ever coming back here. You return only for the specific things a browser cannot do on its own: convert to PowerPoint, unpaper an existing PowerPoint, update slides, or check a deck.
